Mike Maynard
The 2008 season will mark Head Coach Mike Maynard’s 21st year with the Bulldog football program. Throughout his tenure, Maynard consistently establishes himself as one of the top small college coaches in the West Region, if not the entire nation.
Since 1988, Maynard's teams have gone 128-64 overall (.667 winning percentage) and 92-26 in SCIAC play (.780 winning percentage), winning championships in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007. Maynard continues to build on the pride and tradition of Bulldog football, including five NCAA playoff appearances. During his 20 seasons, the Bulldogs have posted a winning conference record every year. In terms of an overall record, the team has finished under .500 only four times (1989, 1995, 2004, 2006) .
Following the 2007 season, Maynard earned the Johnny Vaught Head Coach Award from the All-American Football Foundation. During the spring of 2005, he was inducted into the Bulldog Bench Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame at the University of Redlands. In addition, he earned the prestigious Frank J. Rice Memorial Award for Community Service in 1999.
